Research analyst are persons those who can work in varied industries and fields starting from financial, marketing, manufacturing etc. They examine the data collected and provide useful reports based on some analysis. The reports generated from the processed data help companies to think and analyse the future and prospects for the company.

The necessary skills of a research analyst as a freshers to get a decent job are many, you can find them as mentioned below:

  • Computer Skills: There work involves great use of computers, they have to generate reports and charts, graphs which can be easily done with the help of computer. Apart from that they have to work on spreadsheets excel to process and extract the required data. Now a days every field isdependenton computeroperating knowledge which makes the work easier and faster.

  • Communication skills: It is mandatory for a research analyst to generate reports, commentaries, brief everyone about the findings. To share the information with everyone which needs a good communication skills. Very often they need to present their data in board meetings, conference, seminarswhichrequires them tobe well understood by all, only possible if goodcommunicationskill is there. Apart from this itcreatesaimpact only when you can communicate better and proper. If people are not understanding your views than no point in talking.

  • Analyticskills:The analyst should be very good inanalyticbecause reports are only derived through proper andaccurate analysis of the provided data. The main work lies in analytic only where data is processed into useful reports and summaries. the reports are then circulated to who ever required.

  • Quantitativeskills: They need to have excellent maths and statistics knowledge where everything is about numbers and statistics generated. The only skill and talent is maths where they needs to be prompt and fast. The work of research is always moving around numbers.

Other skills are also important like proper attention and deep thinking about the reports processed. Thinking beyond what is obvious is a very remarkable aspect. There lies few more skills like thinking and retrospecting about the prospects and future trends..
