Ophthalmologist jobs are undergoing lot of changes due to dynamic health care industry. Due to ever changing medical and surgical procedures ,as an ophthalmologist , a comprehensive clinical training programme that introduces them to such advancements is necessary. As an ophthalmologist one is required to keep himself updated with the latest diagnostic tools and treatment procedures so that one can advance in his or her career successfully. An ophthalmologist requires good judgmental skills. She must have the skills to understand the problems that patient is facing. He or she must have patience and the capability to work as a part of team. As an ophthalmologist one can join medical college as a junior doctor/ senior resident, get a government job as ophthalmologist, puruse subspeciality training in a reputed eye center, undergo fellowship or job in another country, start an eye hospital, join a small private set up with private practice, join a corporate set up or join a charitable eye hospital
