The main responsibility of physician nursing is to safeguard the health of their patients. They are usually attached to general hospitals, nursing homes, private clinics and teaching hospitals. They can also set up a private practice or join the state or central medical services of the government. The work mostly with other people on their medical team and their patients.



There are various areas of specializations within the ares in medicine. Few of them are Physicians who first patiently to the patient's problem in his/ her own words, examine him/her , study the results of clinical tests and then diagnose the illness/ ailment / disease before prescribing the course of treatment or medicine. Surgeons examine patients for injury/ discomfort/ ailment , study the results of clinical tests, determine the nature of the problem and then decide either to prescribe medicines or go in for surgical procedures. neurologists specialize in the problems related to nervous system. Cardiologists specialize in diseases of the heart .

Long concentration span , immense patience, physical agility , energy and stamina for working over long hours, a caring nature , self confidence , ability to take responsibility and decisions after weighing up relevant factors , sympathetic yet objective approach and capacity to deal with people from various walk of life are some of the skills required to be a physician .
