Research- Research biologists study the natural world using the latest scientific tools and techniques in both laboratory settings and the outdoors to understand how living systems work.
Biologists may develop public health campaigns to defeat illnesses such as AIDS, cancer, tuberculosis and heart diseases. Some work to prevent the spread of rare, deadly diseases
Biologists in management and conservation careers are involved in solving environmental problems and preserving the natural world for future generations. Park rangers protect state and national parks, help preserve their natural resources and educate general public.Zoo biologists carry out endangered species recovery programs.
Biologists apply scientific principles to develop and enhance products , tools and technological advances in fields such as agriculture, food science and medicine. To get job and excel in any of the field of biology one needs to have scientific temperament, above average intelligence, intuition, long concentration span, imagination and capacity for original thought, curiosity, persistence, inquiring mind etc. They should possess good organizing ability and the ability to work well on their own as well as a member of a team. Ability to write and discuss matters lucidly is important for getting worthwhile projects completed.
