Agriculture engineers have bright career prospects . Upon graduating or post graduating in agriculture and allied sciences, the carious opportunities for them are :-

State Government of agriculture recruits agriculture engineers as agriculture officers ( AO) for the development of agriculture in a district.
Agriculture extension officers in district & tehsil public board
Food inspector in state and central department of food & drug ministry
Agricultureuniversity teaching staff
design engineer in irrigation industries
Processing engineer in seed industries

Research openings are also increasing as research institutions gear up to accept the challenge of export market with the combined support of the government and corporate sector. Openings for agriculture scientists are in institutions like the the Indian council of Agricultural Research . National commercial banks and NABARD also provide class 1 openings for agriculture experts.
