Starting as a kid everybody wanted to be a doctor or an engineer but goals of people change with time. Some people work to earn money but some work to gain happiness as to some happiness is more important than money. Some wish to become doctors, engineers, fashion designers, dancers, and singers and so on.
Some people go to work daily but are not enjoying their work, not because of the pay or their superior or subordinate but for the work they are doing is not what they see as their dream career.
Some people never get to know their dream career so they carry on with the work they get and never try to look for their dream career but one should not give up. He should ask questions to himself and help himself to find the right path.
Here are five questions that can help to find your dream career:
With whom you will trade your career and why?
People often trade their job not because they are jealous of other’s salary but they are interested in that work. You see yourself doing that work. Sometimes it happens that a person always wanted to become a writer but he opted for administrative work. However, he can trade his job. So he needs to move slowly for that change to happen and it will surely happen.
What others find good in you?
A person may be doing a job because he is not aware of his talents. He can always listen to what other people say about him.
The best and the worst aspect of your current job ?
A person does not know what actually he wants as a dream career. He should make points regarding the worst and the good aspect of the current job. For example, the bad aspect can be the salary, the working conditions, time of working, the workload etc. Next note down the good aspects of that company also.
After noting down all the points, you will able to make a choice of what you want and what not.
If you are starting with your college than what you would study?
If you starting with your college and want to decide what you should study, choose something that will excite you not what you parents want you to do.
Some people choose law or medicine for the sake of good salary and reputation but are not enjoying doing it. They do not feel excited about it. That study is just a burden on their heads.
Every person has a passion. Many people can follow their passion and others just wonder about it. Taking a note of your hobbies, you can also make your hobbies as your dream careers. Some like to paint, click photographs, sing, dance etc. So, hobbies can lead a person toward their dream career.
What you wanted to become when you were a kid?
Talking about the likes and dislikes of the kid these are things that change as the person grows older. However, if you consider your childhood you will get a clue about your dream career.
As a kid, we are often told that we can achieve whatever we want but it is not possible. A child dreaming about becoming a superhero cannot be fulfilled. Nonetheless, you can still hold on some dream seen in your childhood. Some thought of becoming a teacher or a dancer. You can pursue them as tour dream career.
