There are a number of things that one needs to learn as a chartered accountant and that will be helpful for them in the long terms. Below is the list of those things:

1. They need to learn about the financial accounting process. This is the most basic part of their work that they should have clear understanding about. The understanding of the various financial plans is also important as they will have to suggest the right options or solutions for their clients.

2. The chartered accountants also work in the area of tax management. For that they really need to learn and understand the tax structure of a country and everything about it. They need to understand the various policies and laws about the tax, only then they will be able to provide the right assistance to their clients.

3. Chartered accountants need to work on the financial auditing and therefore they have to learn everything about the audit process. There are various phases involved in the whole audit process and therefore they are required to learn each one of those. The impact of that learning will get reflected in their work and therefore they should be able to work on that with great ease.

4. Chartered accountants need to have reasonably good communication skills as they do have to interact with a number of people throughout their work. Thus it is important that they are able to communicate well their ideas and thoughts to the clients and other team members so that the work goes on smoothly. The importance of good communication skills is particularly important while working in large organizations or working independently with the notable clients.

5. Every chartered accountant needs to learn the value of team work and has to be really good at it. They should be able to work really well in the team settings and provide their contribution nicely. They should also be able to assist those who are working under them and guide them in order to fulfill the project requirements.
