Pharma sector is a booming industry all over the world which offer various career opportunities to the job seekers. Employment in Pharma sector is not so easy as it seems. It requires deep interest and in-depth knowledge of all drugs and medicines related to pharmacy field. Research scientist:

A research scientist is one of the highest paying jobs in the field of pharma sector. One who has the ability to explore new products, can perfectly analyze the need of patients and medicine, has excellent command over the English language, is the perfect fit for this job. For entering into this field, practical experience, huge data collection, observational study, and writing skills are key demand from an employer. After completing Bachelor or Master degree, one can apply for the post of research associate. A doctorate can work as a research scientist and after having experience, he might be promoted to the post of a senior research scientist. One has the responsibility to access new medicines or medical equipment, plan future prospects, manage research on various projects and writing reports, articles or documents related to them.

 

Manufacturer: 

One can get the job as a processing operator or an officer depends upon his work profile after having Bachelor degree. There are three types of manufacturing processes in this field. First, manufacturing raw ingredients used for making medicines. Secondly, apply formulation to those ingredients to get them in the form of tablets, pills, sprays or cream etc. Finally, packaging process to get ready to reach on the shelves of chemist shops or dealers.

 

Distributor:

Distributors have the role to transport and deliver the packed medicines to the hospitals, healthcare organizations and pharmacy shops etc.

 

Sales representative:

The sales representative is an another great opportunity to have good career scope in the pharmacy field. One who is good in communication and organization skills, can build relationships with clients, have in-depth knowledge of medicines and able to travel at various locations can get into higher positions along with good pay scale in various pharma sectors.

 

Quality control Positions:

In pharma industry, it is mandatory to check the quality of medicines or drugs before reaching out for sale. It requires a close attention towards each and every product. One should have the knowledge to investigate and resolve all the issues related to pharmacy products. After graduation, One can get the initial level job from the post of quality control associate or analyst up to quality control manager depending upon his skills and experience.

 

Data Manager:

To collect and manage all types of data from various studies and research, data managers are always in high demand to take the responsibility for this post. Computer literacy, speed, and accuracy, organizational skills are required for this post.

 

Project Manager:

In pharma industry, a project manager is quite different from other corporate sectors. He has the responsibility to oversee the management, planning, and development of new medicines and healthcare equipment. One should have skills such as work in a team,  ability to set budgets, communicate effectively and more.

 

Lab Analyst:

As the name suggests, lab analyst has the responsibility to ensure all the testing procedure related to samples and new products. They need to find out errors and get solutions for it. One should have in-depth knowledge of federal compliance regulations and medical standards. One who wants to pursue the pharmaceutical field can get lucrative job options in government or private sectors, healthcare organizations and also as an entrepreneur by simply opening a medical store of his own. It requires licensing and certification for being self-employed. One can start as an associate at an initial level and raise up to managerial and research scientist levels depending upon skills and academics. Pharma industry is one of the leading industries in which one can get employment along with numerous options for future success.
