Pursuing a legal course is a very lucrative option these days. This is because the law is necessary everywhere. The legal system is the functional and regulatory body of a country. Through law only, it can be ascertained that all activities are being done properly or not. The rules and regulations laid by law are very important for a country. So, all this has raised the value of law professionals/lawyers to a great extent. Lawyers are considered to be the most sought after people by law firms, corporations, legal agencies, and individuals. The demand for lawyers is increasing day by day.

Any person can pursue a law course after his/her graduation in any discipline. The most common degree for making a career in law is LLB. LLB is the undergraduate level Bachelor’s degree course of law. The total duration of LLB is three year years. The duration of graduation is already three years and after that LLB takes three more years to complete. So, this total process takes six years. But, if a student wants to save one complete year in this process, then he/she should pursue an integrated course of law.

The integrated courses provide students a combined degree of graduation and LLB. The integrated course options for law include BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, BBA LLB and so on. The duration of integrated law courses is five years and one can take admission into them just after his/her completion of class 12th. Admission in all law based courses is done on the basis of one's score in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

The subjects which one is usually required to study while pursuing law include Legal Method, Legal Language, Law of Contract, Business Law, Family Law, Public International Law, Property, Investment and Competition Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes, Law of Torts and Consumer Protection, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, Law of Evidence, Advocacy Skills, Corporate Law, Jurisprudence, Human Rights Law, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure etc.
