  • Calcutta National Medical College

This college offers a 5.5-year degree course with a certified degree. Highly qualified faculty and teaching staff is something you should not miss on. There is a special domicile quota for the students of West Bengal. Students who have given the West Bengal state examination are eligible for this. This means they will get some hike in their percentage while the selection process.

The new session begins in the month of July. The college authorities generally call the first years before the date of commencement so that they can visit the campus and mold them accordingly to adapt themselves for next couple of years. this boosts up the morale of the students and makes them feel better away from home.

as far as eligibility is talked about, the student must have passed the JEE Entrance Examination and must have secured 50% in class 12th examination with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as subjects.

 

  • KPC Medical College

The age limit for application in this college should be at least 17. the candidate must have completed 17 years before applying for this college. Also, the student should have made it to the merit list of the NEET examination.

Another eligibility criterion for applying for this college is that the students must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. they should have secured a total of 50% combined in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Admission for first 77 eligible candidates will be done on a provisional basis. apart from this a list of candidates for waiting list will be made. this list will consist of next 50 students.

any application form that is not completely filled or has some false information will be rejected then and there. the college will not be held responsible for that.

The course is a total of 5.5 years which includes a one-year internship. The internship provides students with the more practical knowledge and helps them improve their CV. It is very important to work with some or the other hospital to have a good experience.

  • North Bengal Medical College

Admission in this college is on the basis of Bengal Entrance examination which is of very high level. Students who are very keen on joining this institute take up coaching classes to clear this entrance exam. a pre-medical test is also conducted in which 15 % seats are already reserved for the ones who have given this.

The average course fee is 60,800.

 

  • Burdwan Medical College

 For being eligible to apply for this college you need to score a minimum of 15% in 10+2 board examination or any equivalent examination. You must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as your subjects together.

The selection is strictly on the basis of AIPMT result. A merit list is made for the selected candidates and apart from this, a list is made for those who are in waiting. If somebody from the merit list does nit turn up to take admission, that seat goes on to the students on the waiting list.

Hostel facility is also available. The hostel is on the campus of both boys and girls. there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Ac and Non AC rooms are available on first come serve basis. 24 hours Wi-Fi is available along with laundry facility.

 

  • College of Medicine and JNM Hospital

Admission in this college is on the basis of two examinations, either AIPMT or WBUJEE. there are a special number of seats reserved for both the examinations. There are 85% seats for students who have given WBUJEE and 15% of seats for those who have given only AIPMT.

Special quota for students who have the domicile of Bengal is also available.

Apart from this, the student must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12th and must have passed it with a minimum of  50% from state Board or any other recognized board.

Approx 50,000 0f fees are to be submitted for the first year followed by approx 9000 for all the upcoming years.

 

  • ICARE Institute of Medical Science

 The eligibility criterion for applying for this college is that the students must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. They should have secured a total of 50% combined in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

This college conducts a test of its own for admission. The syllabus will be available on the official website of the college. The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. It has a well-qualified staff and good infrastructure.
