All journalists whether in newspapers , magazines, journal or in radio or television work long , irregular hours. Those working on newspapers have to put in long hours of work and may have to travel frequently and be prepared to be sent on out of station assignments at short notice.

Hi There,

My question to you here is, Do you get Newspaper early in the morning, also few newspapers are available at a particular time, eg, Mid-Day, Whenever you switch on the television to a news channel, every few minutes we are updated with the current happenings.

How does this all happen.

The Media team, which also includes the Journalists is working 24 / 7. Though the work is distributed in team ranging from junior to seniors staffs, and they have their set timings, but sometimes depending on the completion of work, they have to put in extra time too.
Hence no fixed timings of work.

And since news can be generated anytime, a Journalists may have to locate to a particular place anytime of the day or night. Since he is the one who would be the source to get the information to the studio.
Please note that as a fresher, you would be given inflexible timings, as well as would be sent to any location any time, and this cannot be avoided.
Once you gin experience and move to the senior position, you may become an editor, so a reporter brings in the news from a location, and writes on it, you step in just to edit the work.
So there your reporting would be a little later, but the end time cannot be specified.

That is how the media works, completely round the clock, to keep us aware of the latest.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck................
