The working hours of writers depend upon the kind of organization they are working with:

  • If you are working as a free lancer, as most writers do these days, then you will have to manage the time as per your convenience. There won't be any restriction on time unless you are meeting the deadlines.
  • If you are working with a print media or Television media agency, then you will have to work accordingly. Mostly you will have to work in day time only. In few cases they require writers to write the stories in the night which will be released early morning next day.
  • In case you are working on script writing, or novel writing you will have to work really hard during the project. These projects generally take few months or in some cases years also. But then, you also get a long break after the project.
  • If you are working as a content writer in an organization, you will be following the usual office hours of that organization
    .
  • Even if you are working on a full time basis, many companies will allow you to work from home and maintain the communication through emails. Therefore location is not a matter of concern these days in writing profession.
