What benefits does graduating (Bcom) from Shri Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics have while doing CA? Is it convenient? What about attendance? Is it compulsory? Will it help me get articleship in BIG 4?

Perks of pursuing CA and Bcom from Narsee Monjee simultaneously? What are the added benefits? Or any other college for doing Bcom parallel to CA? I am expecting my best of four to be somewhere between 9%-98%

Hi there,

Interesting question.

Your question is just like the mindset of we Mubaikars.

We link college and jobs.
We think the name of the college is sufficient to land us into XYZ jobs etc.

What I mean here is that really speaking colleges do not matter. What matters is your percentage and the expertise you carry.
Hence attending college and by attending I mean, attending lectures and making notes, will be more helpful in the long run.

And as dr, above mentioned the distribution of time, to study CA and B.Com.
I would advise you to ideally follow that to be successful.
Since CA is in itself a course, which requires no back-end support, but still industry needs a Graduation degree, so for you a B.Com is equally important.

As far as securing an articleship in Big four companies are concerned, apart from being good with the CA concepts, you would need referrals. Mainly contacts will help you, getting in there.

So in short hardwork and being best in what you do is a perk for you towards yourself.

Wish you all the very best............
