Planning is very essential and seeing that in you at this stage sows your maturity.

Firstly, please note that to get a job of your choice and do well thereon, one needs knowledge and more important basic knowledge.
So which ever course you pursuing at this moment, go in-depth.

Be industrially ready. What I mean here is not just technically but also professionally. Knowledge about the job is essential, but also important is Soft skills. The maturity in which you deal with situations and colleagues is essential.

Also try and be Innovative. Though every solution is printed, but being able to find a new solution and implementing it is essential. Or rather, using the same solution but in a new or different way.
Another essential quality needed is being foresighted. Predicting a situation and being alert and keeping a solution in mind is important to survive in the industry.

Apart from this being ready to learn at all times and most importantly from every person.

From your query it seems that you have been studying your graduation from science stream. As you have not mentioned clearly which course you have been studying. If you write us back that will be very helpful for us to guide very well.

But still considering that you have been studying in the science stream i assume that you have been studying B.Sc.

I would suggest you to concentrate on your studies and score good percentage in your graduation. If you get a campus placement than that will be very helpful for you.

Whereas the other things you need to do by the time you complete your graduation prepare your an updated CV,Resume and Bio-Data. Remember these three things differ from each other and are the first documents that you need to present.

Make a file of your certificates i.e of academics and extra curricular if any.

You can register with various job portals like Naukari,Monster,Times Job etc. and upload your resume and can get to know about various career job opportunities in your field.

You can also look out for the job opportunities in the Newspapers both National and Local. And you can also refer EMPLOYMENT NEWSPAPER for job notifications.

You can also do online research about the companies that have vacancy in your field and can apply their too.

While i would suggest you to improve your interpersonal skills and have a good communication skills. Look out what are positive and negatives you have and try to work on the same.

I am so happy to see your thinking which is found in very few candidates nearing graduation. I am very happy to know that you wish to be ready and wish to do something which will make you ready and job oriented person.

Taking into consideration that you are doing your graduation course in science, I would suggest the following things which you can do while completing your graduation:

1. Make contacts / network of people including your classmates, faculties, etc.

2. Learn MS Office (Word , Excel, Powerpoint) which is very necessary for your job.

3. Read business and general newspapers, to remain aware of the happenings.

4. Read about news and updates relating to your chosen stream and favourite subjects.

5. Also think for a post graduation based on your liking in the graduation level.

Post graduation is very necessary and do not remain just a graduate.
