As you said you have gap period of 5 years in between you can go for some certification courses in Engineering in your respective subjects , There are lots of online course websites are available like coursera.com etc. Else you can go for MBA in IT or in other subjects. You can also try for IAS competitive exams. Go for what you like . Ask if you want more information.
