Dear
Welcome to CareerGuide.com
We are more than happy to help you choose the right career path.

Great to see you here. I like to speak to people with different outlook and you do have a different outlook. Organized retail sector is growing at the rate of over 200% a year and by the end of 2016 the inflow should be around 47 lakh crores as per Nasscom. You are really looking into a bright future.

A floor manager is the person who is responsible for the floor in which he works in the retail store. He has to manage the people on that floor, lead them, facilitate decent sale volume, motivate the team and keep them motivated etc. In fact the floor manager is supposed to be a leader. a born leader to be precise. Because it is human and material and HR management, the desirable qualification for a Floor Manager now a days is Masters in Business Administration in Retail, Marketing or Operations.

To excel in this field, you need to have leadership quality. To know your quality, you can take a psychometric assessment tool and find your personality, aptitude and attitude. Career is self actualization and passion. Salary is only secondary.

Hope this answers your query.
Good luck
