To make a career in finance you can opt for following courses apart from MBA & CA

B.Com- M.Com- CFA
Bachelor (Hons)- Maths, Statistics, Economics- MSc Maths, Statistics, Operational Research
Actuarial Science
BA Business Economics- Master in Business Economics

Actuarial Science

Actuarial science involves application of mathematical and statistical to assess risk in the insurance and finance industry. The actuary designs insurance and pension plans, decide upon the premium rates, create new and attractive policies to further organization's business.

CAREER PATH

Passing 12th or equivalent with at least 85% marks in mathematics/ statistics
Ideally a graduation or post graduation with subjects like mathematics, statistics, economics
Registration with Actuarial Society of India, Mumbai . There are 15 exams to clear. On clearing all those exams, an individual become a certified actuary

Actuaries Work Areas:-
Life, general , health insurance and reinsurance companies
( Work involves designing and pricing the policy)
Pension Funds ( Work involves designing ascheme of benefits to members of the pension scheme)
Investments ( Work involves working on the investment pattern, quantifying the risk, projecting the market expected investment returns)
Consultants ( Work involves giving investment advice to customers)
Government ( work involves population projections, managing state pension scheme etc)
Risk Management
