As an architecture student you can get your degree in India or abroad. However there are certain things that you should keep in mind.

1. In general you will find better universities and more options available to you if you are looking for a degree in Architecture. In India you have only four or five top class colleges to study Architecture.

2. A degree from abroad will give more globalized experience. The interaction that you will have there and the kind of network that you will develop, it will be beneficial in long terms.

3. One of the primary concerns that arises when people are looking to pursue a degree from abroad is their inability to pay the fees. Degree from a foreign university will be a lot costlier than in India- sometimes even 10 times the cost here. So, please consider the affordability factor.

4. Before you enroll in any university please ensure that it meets the criteria that is required in the country where you plan to live and work. For example the courses in UK are accredited by Royal Institute of British Architects or The Architect's Journal.

5. The opportunities to work on the live projects will be more in foreign universities, specially in countries like US or UK. In India you will get less of practical exposure.

6. If you are planning to study abroad, you will have to meet the English language criteria. You will be required to take tests like TOEFL or IELTS. In countries like Spain, Italy, France, you may be required to learn their language after getting the admission there.
