Statistics is the branch of Mathematics .A statistician plays a major role in the economy nowadays. Especially for many of the businesses to make the right decisions to boost their Business by implementing the strategies by Statistics help them. With statistical methods one interprets the numerical facts and creates valuable information with summary of data and findings.

One can apply for the statistics course after 12th with subjects like Physics,Mathematics and any one of the subject like Chemistry,Statistics,Computer Science with minimum 50%. The degree offered after 12th is B.Stats. The course is of 3 years after 12th while one can apply after Degree to Masters;the course is of 2 years.

Well one can study Statistics anywhere. There are good institutes in India too. Top institutes in India for Statistics are -
1.Indian Statistical Institute (Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore),
2.IIT (Kanpur, Mumbai),
3.CR Rao Institute of Advanced Statistics (Hyderabad),

6.National Institute of Medical Statistics (Delhi),
