What exam to do after 12 for architecture ?

sir , i want to do architecture afterwards but i dont know what to do after 12 for it .and what subjects should i focuss on now . like there is iit jee for engineering so likewise what exam is there for architecture and is there any future for architecture in india ?

Architecture:




Architecture is one of the noblest professions in India and also considered as one of the toughest ones. Architecture is the basic requirement for any construction activity and there fore this means that after doing this course you will be very much close to the construction industry and I would say more over to the Infrastructure industry.




Infrastructure industry today is fastest growing and at the time when elections are now over, the new govt's focus will definitely be infrastructure development and for this two major skilled professionals are required: one is an Architect and the other is an Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical majorly).




Architecture courses are offered by few reputed institutes in India and the seats are limited and the course is governed and regulated by the Council of Architecture apart from the University that offers the Bachelor of Architecture.




Architecture course majorly involves subjects as mentioned below:




Designing


Planning


Drawing


Estimation


Landscape


Liasoning




Another major aspect now being included in the Architecture masters course is Project and Construction Management.




Admission to Architecture course:




After your HSC results, you can appear for National level or State level Entrance tests for admission to the Architecture course. The application to this entrance test is done either through online or offline mode.




Once you pass the entrance test, based on your score, you can locate the college which can give you a seat for B.Arch course. B.Arch course is a five year degree course.




Please also keep in mind that the course should be offered by recognised University in India and after passing BArch you need to get the Council of Architecture license as an Architect.




Subjects to focus on:




Since you are in HSC level, there is no specific subject which you need to focus, however subjects like maths will be very helpful.
