Since you have not specified what is your basic qualifications, I am assuming you have just appeared for Xth.

You would have to opt for 12th Science (PCMB).

After HSC, you would have to clear the entrance exam and thereby secure admission in B.E/ B.Tech Electrical engineering.

As an electrical engineer, you would encompass knowledge related to Physics, Maths, Electrothermal, circuits, Electronics and systems and so on.

Electric is the need of the day. Whether you talk of home appliances, computers, mobiles or anything else, all require one major thing that is electricity to work.

Your main job entails dealing with the study and application of electrical systems in different environments. You are equipped with knowledge related to transmission and generation of power, electrical circuit control systems and so on.

Just holding to a graduate degree is not of much use, it would be great if you could pursue a masters degree, an M.Tech, where you could choose from different specializations right from Power systems, Control and Instrumentation, Nanotechnology, Remote sensing and Information and so on.

So you have opportunities in mostly ll industries right from electricals to metrology department to automobiles.

But since you looking for freelancing, after a B.Tech since you have good knowledge of systems and electrical gadgets and circuits, you could then start off as a consultant.

You could get into the ware and tear of electrical gadgets as well as into formulating a new product with existing circuit boards.
