In recent times, fashion designing has emerged as a most sort out career choice of youth. Fashion designing is designing of clothes for men, women and children. A fashion designer should be artistic, creative and blend with fashion knowledge. Skills of color combination, styling sense, texture knowledge, etc are needed to be a good designer. Fashion designer should be fashion conscious and have knowledge of market requirements. Fashion designer should fit in clients requirements.

Job prospects:

There are ample of job option available as fashion designer. A fresh fashion designing graduate can work under a renowned fashion designer and learn practical skills. Or join as intern in any fashion house. One can work in textile industries, Television or films as costume designer, fashion show organizer, fashion publication, export house dealing in garments, textile/garment manufactures etc
A own fashion house can be set up after few years of practical experience.

Salary :



Remuneration depends on the ability and skills of the individual. Salary is not a constraint for creative and innovative . A fresher can expect a salary between 8000-10000 pm. Salary also depends on the company working for.

However, it is also a demanding career, as fashion designers need to combine their creativity with managerial skills to sustain in this industry. thus, if you can create magic wth colours, shapes and designs, then just obtain a professional course to begin a successful career in the alluring world of fashion designing.

The fee structure varies from institution to institution. However, on an average you will have to dish out more than Rs. 45,000 per annum to complete a course in fashion designing from a reputed institution.

The starting monthly package can be around Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000. With experience, you will acquire maturity in designing skills, and a few years down the line your salary would be range of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month. Of course, if you become a reputed designer you could demand the world.

Great fashion designers salary always shows an upward moving trend. However, hard work and conscious effort to update the latest trend in the fashion industry are imperative.
