The salary structure would depend upon the kind of writing involved. A writer can be employed as a journalist/ reporter, technical writer, editor, script writer, or work in the publishing industry. In full time formal employment a writer can expect to earn approximately Rs. 10000/- to Rs. 15000/- a month at the entry level. This could vary with the level and nature of responsibilities, experience plus volume of work. Freelance writers cannot expect any typical remuneration.
