Hello there,

Good question, but I see you have asked this question in the commerce section which falls into the category of math.

Anyways coming to your question. But before that hope you are not running away from numbers, because in day to day life we deal with numbers which is an application of math. Eg. Banking industry or accounting which is full of numbers. Hope these fields are ok with you.

Or else then I would suggest shift to ARTS stream whereby you would study subjects like literature, history, psychology, sociology etc.

After 12th, you could opt for courses related to BMM (Mass media), Hotel management, Home science, management courses ( BMS / BBA) or a course in travel and tourism from an IATA recognised institute only.

In the field of commerce you could opt for general B.COM, BAF,BBI etc. After graduation, you could pursue B.eD and become a teacher.

In terms of short term courses you could opt for courses related to animation, graphic or web designing.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...

Dear Aspirant,

By your question, it appears that you fear maths very much and do not want any career related to maths. However, in practical life and while working in the industry in any type of job, command over basic maths is required and mandatory. However, there are courses and career options where lot of maths is not involved.

I would list out some career options where maths competence is not much required to the extent where some courses require high command over maths:

  • Law

  • Business Management (HR / Marketing, International Business)

  • Marketing

  • Media

  • Mass Communication

  • Journalism

  • Languages (Indian / Foreign)

  • Literature
  • Psychology

  • Travel & Tourism

  • Hotel & Hospitality Management

  • Advertising

  • Animation / Web Designing / Graphic Designing / Programming / IT

  • Interior Designing

  • Event Management

  • Retail Management
  • Corporate Communication

Choose the career option very carefully. I would recommend you to take the Ideal Career Test from CareerGuide.com. This psychometric test will analyse your intrinsic factors like inclination, aptitude, emotional quotient, innate abilities and skills. Taking the result of the test as the base, you will be able to select one of the options from above.

Best wishes
