Chemical engineer build a bridge between science and manufacturing , applying the principles of chemistry and engineering to solve problems involving the production or use of chemicals.It is one of the diverse branch of engineering. The main work responsibilities of chemical engineer involves designing, supervision, construction, installation , operation and maintenance of plants and equipment for manufacturing chemical products as well as solving problems and improving the methods of production. They also deal with extracting chemicals from waste materials, work on developing chemical processes to convert raw material or chemicals to valuable product evolving synthetic products to place depleting natural resources and solving various environmental issues such as waste and water treatment and energy conservation. They also play a vital role in the availability of modern high- quality materials that are essential for running an industrial economy. There are both degree as well as diploma courses to make a career in chemical engineering. An aspirant can opt for a three years Diploma course in chemical engineering after class 10 or 12 or puruse four years undergraduate degree in chemical engineering , selection to which is based on the rank secured in all India engineering entrance examination- JEE Main and marks secured in class 12. The basic eligibility criteria to get admitted into BE/ BTech in chemical engineering is 12th or an examination with physics, chemistry and maths. There are plenty of employment opportunities available to chemical engineers in both public sector as well as private sector undertakings.

Any Engineering, requires you to qualify in Graduation of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering. Ensure that the BE degree is from a recognised University and affiliated engineering college.

If a college receives ABET accreditation in yout particular course only after you get your degree certificate.. Does is affect the value of the certificate which does not show the accreditation?
