To become a psychologist, you need to do the following things:

1. First of all, you need to have a Bachelor degree in Psychology. You need to have 50% or more aggregate in Class 12 for that.

2. Many good colleges generally take entrance exams for the admission in Bachelors program. You will have to compete in the exam to secure your position there.

3. If there is no entrance exam, the admission will be on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12. You need to have good score in that case.

4. During the Bachelor's degree you will go through the overall field of psychology and get the in depth understanding of it.

5. The Bachelor degree is just the first step. It is advisable to have a Masters degree as well to become a psychologist.

6. Again some universities conduct their entrance exams while others offer admissions on the basis of marks obtained in your Bachelor's degree. You will have to meet any of these criteria.

7. After completing Masters degree, you will have a specialization in Psychology - you can easily go for a job in government or private sector.

8. You can further study and get Ph.D. degree and work in the academic field or go for a corporate job.
