Dear Student,

The position of a Chartered Accountant after 5 years is completely based on the skills & hard work. However, after completing your Chartered Accountancy course you will be open to various avenues. Such as:

1) Doing regular Job in Industry
2) Doing regular practice (having your own CA Firm)
3) Becoming a partner or salaried employee in a CA firm
4) Working on retainer-ship basis & holding certificate of practice

Each of the above course will define you career pathway as a CA.

The salary is dependent on the number of attempts in which you clear CA. The salary package is good for the freshers if they have good skills & experience. It varies from 34 k to 50 k a month depending the industry you are working with. And if you stay there for a long term or shift jobs at the right time you would probably reach & be part of the top management. However, you need to perform well every-time.

If you have good backup & support from your family then you can go for having your own CA firm and you will be your own boss. It takes around 5-6 years to build the client base. And once you make , then sky is the limit for your earning.

Stay Happy & Bright
