1M+ Test Taken
Hello There,
Looks like you are interested in pursuing an MBA and that too from one of the reputed institute IIM.
The route to an MBA, with IIM, is a good percentile in CAT, followed by a Group discussion and Personal Interview.
Sounds easy right. But the clux is here, a good score in the CAT test, which means being in the top 5 scorers preferably. Being aware of the current happening and most important being able to articulate it in a group and helping fellow colleagues make a point, and being your best at the personal interview. Start preparations at the earliest.
In terms of CAT preparation. You could join coaching classes, where they would teach you shortcuts to solve the problems asked so that you could solve maximum questions in a short period of time and the answers are right, so that you score well too. Other than classes, you need to solve many papers as possible, so that your base is strengthened. Initially you may just focus on knowing the concepts, but as time approaches for the exam, time your solving the paper. Main point here is knowing the logic behind the question and being able to solve it in the quickest possible way.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck....
Dear Aspirant,
Excellently explained by my colleague Ms. Meghana.
CAT score (above 98 percentile), excellent performance in GD and PI and good academic record till graduation are the basic requirements to get into IIMs for MBA.
To score more in CAT, coaching is recommended since it gives lots of practice, guidance and consistency.
Best wishes
