Follwoing non culinary courses would be helpful to you if you want to become a Chef:

1. Language Courses
You can take the language course such as English to work on your communications skills - written and verbal. If you are looking to work in any other country where English is not the main language such as France, Spain, Italy - you can learn that language which will add a great value to your resume.

2. Management Courses
You can go for any management related courses that will help you a lot in long terms. The courses range from - general management, organizational behavior to ethics and personnel management. Such courses help you to understand the various aspects of working in an organization.


3. Business Courses
The sense and understanding of business is quite important for a Chef and is often underestimated. The business knowledge adds a great value to the Chefs and help them in making various decisions at workplace. One can study courses like- basic economics, consumer marketing, business administration, etc in order to build their business aptitude.

4. Hospitality Management Courses
As a Chef you are responsible for variety of other tasks beside cooking. The interaction with clients and other officials often requires great interpersonal skills. They need to greet everyone with a warm gesture and smile. They have to be polite and soft spoken. These are few things you will learn as a part of hospitality management.

5. Others Courses
The other courses include the history and general awareness of various cuisines, current affairs, knowledge of food and beverage industry, mathematics and social sciences.
