10 + 2 with Math background could be interdisciplinary or trans-disciplinary approach at higher level after graduation and postgraduation either in math or physics or chemistry depends on your suitability and result based performances.

Here I would like to cite certain career oriented paths:

  1. Data entry job in banking and finance institutions / commerce and statistics/ banking: explore the relevant job portals and appear to that if you are in hurry. Mind it, for low income group not more than 15- 20 thousands monthly take home salary. Alternatively if you have diploma in any skill oriented course like InfoTech, computer, robotic intelligence, mechanical, polytech etc then you can explore offshore job portals which can give you very descent job with good package. Also you can explore govt jobs like Lower divisional clerck-LDC

Alternatively you can explore Marine job after a year diploma course from any maritime institute.

  1. After graduation you can explore commissioned jobs like PCS (UPPSC, BPSC, MPSC etc), UPSC ( Administrative Services-IAS, IPS, IFS, Indian Forest Service, Allied service, Upper Divisional Clerk, Defence -CDFD)

At the same time you can join the banking sector at higher level, attempt for Probationary Officer jobs of any PSU / Banking.

Also you can try Indian Institute of Statistical Science, Kolkata where you will be specialized in stats but your interest is the pre-requisite.

  1. After post-graduation in the subject of your choice (maths, physics and chemistry) you can explore the lectureship job, but as per University Grant Commission you have to qualify National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grant Comission (UGC), csir-net, or any other equivalent entrance like state level of eligibility test for lectureship. Also you can do Bachelor in Education from any prestigious organization like BHU after your post-grade and then you can join central school teaching job.

  2. After Ph.D. in any research area through UGC guidance you will be eligible for any scientific job either in govt or PSU or MNC or abroad that is high profile job which gives you name and fame both. But be assured achieving doctorate degree is a challenging job. I will write separately related to higher education pros and cons.

Till then good luck for your bright career in P/C/M

Hi,

There are several options available after completing 12th with PCM. If you could have mentioned your interests or percentage of marks obtained in 12th examination, I would have been in a better position to answer your query. Below are some of my recommendations for you except engineering.

  • Information Technology (IT), is one of a great field if you are not interested in Engineering field. The best options are B.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Applications and BCA. Out of these subjects I would recommend you to opt for BCA however to get a good job you will have to complete MCA course also.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), if you have managerial skills then BBA is a good for you. But you would also have to pursue MBA course after completing BBA in order to get good job.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), you can take up various courses in B.Sc like Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics etc. There are various options available after completing B.Sc, you can take admission in engineering course through lateral entry or can go for M.Sc or MBA.
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB), since you have completed 12th class, you can go for BA LLB which is 5 years long integrated course. You need to appear for CLAT entrance examination.

But before choosing any course I would suggest you to take Ideal Career Test at CareerGuide.com, this test will suggest you the best career options available for you which is based on your interest, aptitude, motivation and personality.
