Its very good to know that you have clear focus on your interest and want to make IT and Computer as your career. There are various options which could allow you to get into computer or IT sector. Since there is no information Provided from your side on the subjects you have opted in class XII i.e. whether its science, commerce, or humanities. i would try and provide you information from all the fields

  • Computer Engineering : The most common and essay way is to do engineering in Computer, IT or any other stream during the campus interview or by lateral hiring you would be able to get your self hired by IT industry.

  • MBA /PGDBM : Since IT industry would also have lot of profile which would be non-IT or not on development side so there would be requirement of Business Associate or Team lead which would be from MBA-IT, MBA- System, in case you are a Commerce or Humanities student this could be best option to get in to IT sector.

  • Certifications : In case you would not be able to do both, you can start learning languages and do certificate courses from Institutes which would help you to get IT skills, there are some courses like GNIIT and some others like BCA would provide you a platform for IT sector.

Today IT industry faces a biggest problem of attrition or Job switches and thus there are significant number of jobs which are available in IT every year. you should look for qualifications and Skills to get into it sector and then it would be rewarding journey.

Career in IT is considered one of the most high paying jobs and is full of opportunities; particularly when India's Power in Information Technology industry is recognized across the globe. The pool of telented computer engineers working in IT companies of the USA and Canada shows that IT can take a person to higher levels. Numerous IT Companies from India emply huge number of computer professionals in their Indian and Overseas offices.

As you are interested in IT field, after 12th you should complete your Graduation in Computer Science.

Pre-Requisities:
A BE/Btech or BCA/MCA can become an IT engineer, and a person requires +2 with mathematics to pursue Btech or BCA. Others without mathematics too can do various short term certification and diploma courses in various small packages. However, there is a stringent selection procedure at place for computer engineer wherein admission to the BE/Btech course is extremely competative. An internship program at various IT companies would garner practial knowledge and employ-ability and it is a must and can be either afteror during the course.

Course Fees:
Studying Information Technology can cost a lot in private engineering college. However, government sponsored engineering colleges charge comparatively low. IIT's charge from Rs. 2,00,000 to 2,70,000 bu the fees depends upon the rank of engineering college and reputation. Diploma programs on the other hand cost less and a diploma in computer application can be done at Rs. 50,000.

Job Prospects:
Booming IT Sector in India has plenty of jobs for fresh computer science graduates. Candidates from top notch engineering colleges howver get attractive job offers from MNC It companies in comparison to not so known engineering colleges. Additionally, candidates with higher percentage of marks and good communication skills as well as sound computer knowledge donot faceproblem in getting a job whether they are from reputed engineering college or not. Computer Engineers can get job in Non-IT companies like Universities, research, private and public industries, government departments, business organizations, commercial organizations and the manufacturing sector, etc.

Besides the Computer Engineering have plenty of options to work in IT Companies in department such as Design, Development, Assembly, manufacture, and maintenance, etc. Working as programmer, web developer, and E-Commerce specialist with telecommunication companies, automotive companies, aerospace companies, etc.can be a lucrative career options as well.
