Hello My Dear...

I am very very happy to read about your commitment, dedication and sincerity in growing as a person and getting your self ready as a prospective employee to tackle the challenges of the industry. It is very good that you are pursuing your post graduation from Pune at the right time after your engineering. You are already on the right track and I would like to compliment you for this. Please keep up this attitude of learning. You also have a clear idea of what the industry wants from freshers.

You being an Electronics Engineer, you definitely have good scope in manufacturing industry. With your PGDM you can definitely have a good job profile. However it would have been more easy for me to guide you if you had mentioned the specialisation in your PGDM. If you are doing Operations as a specialisation, then your Electronics Engineering plus Operations can be a good combination for the employer.

However if you are doing specialisations like Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, then your engineering degree will have no relevance since the jobs which will come to you after your PGDM in Finance / HR / Marketing MAY NOT be related to manufacuring or operations or electronics field.

To get jobs in manufacturing or electronics, the most important aspect for you will be of technical competence and inter personal skills, communication skills, attitude, personality ,etc. All these factors are required to become employable to the industry.

I would suggest you that if you wish to remain connected with your manufacturing or electronics field, at the time of placement in the BSchool from which you are doing your PGDM you will need to choose those companies which are into those fields.

Best Luck
