It is common for students to choose either of these three groups Science, Computer science or Commerce.

1. Science group: Students choose science group because many aspire to become either a Doctor or an Engineer. Some still wish to study in a science group because they wanted to go into science level courses in depth without engineering principles. For example with a science group you can choose to study MBBS, BDS, Engineering in mechanical, electrical, chemical or electronics. But still there are students who would like to do a three year bachelor degree like BSc Biology, Biotechnology, Botany, Nursing and many more. In short, if you wanted to enter into medical or engineering profession you can choose this subject.

2. Computer science: students only who want to work in Information technology (IT) world will choose this subject. If you have no ambition to study computer science then you dont have to choose this course. If you aspire to work in software then you can study this course and then choose BSc Computer science, Bachlor of computer application, BSc Information technology or BENG/ BTech Computer engineering or Information technology. Students who studied Biology and computer science in 12th class can also study BTech Bio informatics course.

3. Finally commerce subject: If you have interest for business and want to know the internal functions of a business, also understand how businesses are affected or then improved this subject is right for you. This subject is for students who have interest in business related studies and there fore studying commerce at 12th class, you can do BA Economics, BCom, BBA degree in college.
