Hello Smayra,

Interesting question. But why are you so confused?.

To ease the confusion, a diploma program either in engineering, designing or  architecture etc still students would get a job even if they are not graduates. But here too for better opportunities and further studies like masters degree or MBA graduation degree would be required

Other diploma programs like fashion, graphics, animations, hotel management etc students would find a job at the lower rungs but for promotion and high profile graduation is a must.

Knowing this difference you can take a call accordingly.

Wish you good luck...

In today scenario, the value of Quality Education is losing its importance seeing the Increasing trend of Competition.  A student who had just Qualified Matriculation develops a dilemma whether to continue his study as usual or start investing time in some professional Courses that might help him getting a Job at an earlier age.

For any Confusion Regarding Career Paths – Take here: Psychometric Career Tests including Ideal Career Test

In this post, we will discuss the pros and cons involved in both scenarios. It is always better to plan your career at an early age i.e. after Qualifying Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination. This is the correct time to initialize with a right decision that can lead you towards an ultimate success in life. This decision should be based on related factors like – Area of Interest, Scope or Future Opportunities, Skill Required, Level of Difficulty etc.

The various Options for which a student is eligible after completing 10th Standard are as follows:

  1. HSSC after 10th – Continuing further studies in the set pattern can act as the laying of Foundation for further Studies like Bachelors and Masters. The major challenge that exists is choosing the Correct Stream for continuing his education. The available streams are as follows:

  1. Science Stream– This Stream is considered as an “Obvious Choose for Brilliant Ones” as this clears your way to find an Engineer or Doctor.  Selection of the Optional Major i.e. Mathematics /Biology will be the base of your further career.
  2. Commerce Stream – This is the option for those students who wish to make their career in auditing, accounting, Finance, Business Scholar etc. The major certification after completing 12th can be Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, ICWA etc.
  3. Arts or Humanities Stream–It is the most exciting field as It includes various interesting subjects like Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Psychology etc. You can pursue a career in literature, mass media, social service, human psychology, economics etc. through arts.

  1. Diploma Courses in Technical Domain – This can be considered as another option for the students who had special Interest in Technical Knowledge like Mechanical, Electrical or Civil. This 3 Year diploma course can act as a core for clearing the concepts and act as the bridge between theory and Practical Studies. Completing Diploma makes you eligible to apply for Junior Engineer Recruitment under various Central/State Department and Other Ministries. Major Technical Trade includes Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil. These Diplomas are offered across the country at Various Government and Non-Government Polytechnics.

  1. Skill Based Technical Certification – This is basically a 1-year certification course based on skills like a fitter, Mechanic, Refrigeration etc. This certification makes you eligible to engage directly as an apprentice directly in some technical industry. This can be considered as a focused approach towards a single skill set. This certification is offered at ITI.
  1. Career Option in DefenseThis option can be a really good opportunity for those who wish to serve their country. UPSC conducts NDA exam twice in a year for the admission of candidates to National Defense Academy. The selected candidates complete their education from Defense Schools and get recruited as a LIEUTENANT afterward.

Concluding the above-written topic I would just like to mention that If You had a clear vision to pursue Engineering then Diploma will be the Best Option for You. Secondly, if you are having a Keen interest in Joining Armed Forced then you might go for NDA. As you know your direction you just need to concrete it but for all the Other students HSSC will be the best Option as this will give you the open sky full of opportunities where you have a number of career option to opt.

Even Students who wish to pursue engineering should complete SSC as this will clear their concepts related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics which in turn will boost their confidence in any further competition.Don’t get moved on, following the Masses. Think and Discuss wisely with your parents, teachers, close ones and chose your career path wisely.
