Hello Abhinav,

You have come to the right place.

Let me start from the beginning itself. To pursue medical, after 10th, you need to study 12th PCB. After that you would have to clear the NEET entrance exam. Only then would you be eligible for the 5 1/2 years course in which half year is rural internship. Once you graduate with an MBBS degee you qualify as a general practicioner.

After graduation, you again appear for an entrance exam and qualify for either an MD  or  MS course, whereby you specialise in areas like cardiology or endocrinology, or gastrocrinology, or gynacrology or psychiatry and many more depending on your interest.

You then can work in hospitals or open your own practice or act as a consultant with various hospitals and or clinics.

Please note, after 12th you could even opt for either BAMS(Ayurveda) whereby Sanskrit language is important or you could opt for BHMS(Homeopathy) doctors. For both these courses there are no entrance exams.

Hope this answers your query.

If any other question in mind do write back

Wish you good luck...
