Not denying that the name of the institute is important but the course one does is equally important. You may pass out from the best of institute but in a course you are hardly interested in, then the institutes reputation would not be able to help you.

What you study is more important. It is not a compulsion that everybody should study in top colleges to get success. Study from where you are as far as your under graduate studies are concerned. After graduation you may choose to get into the top colleges irrespective of the location.
