Maths as a career option is fantastic. Maths majors or masters gives you an opportunity to work in IT, Banks, Insurance, Manufacturing, Engineering fields, etc.
However I would not be able to tell you whether Maths would be best for you or not, since it is you who has to decide and take efforts. I would suggest that you take the Ideal Career Test from careerguide.com which will ascertain your strong areas in terms of aptitude, attitude, emotional quotient, interests, etc.
Maths is a difficult subject and therefore if you love the subject more than yourself, then you should go ahead and take education in Maths.
You need not worry about jobs since there are quality jobs available for quality maths candidates.
Further, I would suggest that you should also complete your Masters in Maths so that you become eligible for quality and high end jobs. You may later try for Actuaries profession which requires high calibre of Mathematics and statistics knowledge.
