Hello

Private Questions
Thank you for choosing Mera career guide and writing to us. I very much appreciate your interest in studying abroad but that requires you to be prepared with preliminary examinations. First of all I would like to assure you that studying at a national or state or international board never bothers your studying abroad. So please feel free to study at any abroad whichever you want. Abroad institutions never mind from which board you are from and all they are particular is whether you have a very high percentage or not.

If you want to study abroad for your Bachelors, you should be very keen in getting a very high score preferably above 90%. Suppose say you are willing to study in Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford or Oxford all these institutions demand a very high top score preferably above 93-94%. Moreover it is never important to only show academic percentage at your school level. You should also show some demonstration in extracurricular activities. Admission officers of foreign universities demand most often all rounder applications and therefore focusing only on academic score is not important. So you need to prove you are a highly potential student in both academic and extra curricular activity.

Deciding to study abroad also requires you to analyse where you want to study, i.e. in which country. The common destinations are USA, UK, Singapore and Australia. If you want to do in either of these countries or even beyond that then you should do SAT exam. SAT is required for undergraduate levels. If you want to do masters abroad then doing GRE, TOEFL is essential for USA, Singapore, Canada and only IELTS is important for Australia and UK. Alternatively if you want to do an MBA then GMAT is necessary. So think of your viable options and take the appropriate step.

Finally, what subject you want to study? You should evaluate yourself in asking what subject you like the most as of now, and whether you can manage studying it all your life. Next you should also think of the possible career routes that the subject is to offer. Else please take the psychometric assessment available on this website. This test will understand your personality, strengths, interests and abilities and recommend you what sort of subjects and career suit you the most. Accordingly you can craft your career as such. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hey,

Boards do not really matter. All you need is to be good at whatever you choose to study. Do some research and start observing your interests. Choose the profession you actually like and want to work in and study accordingly. Select the country you want to apply to, gather all the information and then send out your applications or get them written by a personal statement writer service, wait for the response and prepare for the interview and tests.

As for now, you really need to work on your education and get good marks that will become a basis to apply to any college abroad.
All the best!
