As far as your question is concerned.

Here you would have to decide, whether you would be interested in management kind of a job or a regular kind of job which includes everything right from consulting to filling to admin.


Since if you do a M.Sc or a masters degree, mainly you would be involved with the regular kind of job and its applications.
Whereas a degree in Hospitality management would lead you to a management job.

As such Hospitality Management involves covering the 3 main aspecxts of hospitality, mainly,
  • Aircraft
  • Hotels
  • Hospitals

Earlier Hospitality was only restricted to Hospitals, but these days it includes all the above, but the major difference comes in the background the candidate has during their Graduate studies.

Since you are from the science background, you fit in with Hospital management, since your background will help you in the management of the hospitals.

As far as cope is concerned, the service industry is able to function only because of the proper functioning of the administration department. They are the whole and soul of the industry.

So in terms of the scope of hospitality management, it is quite in demand. Hospitals require people who would be able to handle the requirements without disturbing the functioning of the hospitals and its staffs.

Since just one person cannot run the show, it is a team effort. So you should be able to work in a team.
Apart from carrying the knowledge provided during the course, you need to be flexible but stern, patient, innovative at the same time be able to motivate people and staffs towards the well functioning.

Since Hospitals are the services which is required by all income groups, a proper administration is a major concern and so this course has been introduced.
