BCA stands for Bachlor of Computer Application which includes the software and hardware development programing like data structure, Data Base Management System - DBMS, Computer Systems and Organization - CSO, Operating System -OS, Data Communication Networking-DCN, Computer Graphics, Object Oriented Design and Programming and Software Engineering. Theeligibility criteia for you as below:
1. Must be having twelvth -HSC level
2. Two to thre years diploma in computer after tenth
3. Apart from these listed above prestigious universities conduct the entrance test for admission.

Before coming to these discussion you first work out on the fundamnetal level that is a structural need for an aspirant. As we know planing for application based study has become need in terms of employability. Though fundamnetal study is prevelent thriughout the study specfically to qualify the challanging competetion for the admission into BCA or B.TECH. Therefor you are advised to look at the pre-requisites for such subjects much needed to groom the base at initiatial level only then you could be able to justify the course structure which seems to be applied.

If you are not awared of the facts at fundamental level then you will go into the struggling mode while attending the lectures in lecture theatre and you will start to develop the tendency of decieptiveness that could be fatal for a student. There are various reports as grievances stating the same question that I want to change my study prgram / stream which looks very boring and not interesting even they do say this particular course has no potential for employment. These are the negative comment due to your pre-mature step which has been inspired or aspired by the local references those are successful because of their interest in that same program and they have justified it. I meant to say that misfit is the general term which happens due to the sentimental or emotional outburst.
Never commit such mistake in your career rather analyse your background and look at your schooling report card which is the best paprameter to judge your feasibility for BCA .

BCA stands for Bachelors of Computer Application. This is field designed for all those who intend to study computers but in the application format not the core of it in the engineering format.

I would like to appreciate that you came on this platform for this query. As you have desire to take admission in BCA and want to be Software Engineer.

I would like to suggest you that first you check your aptitude for doing BCA and become Software Engineer. If you are a quick problem solverand work with numbers accurately and correctly; If you can take decision quickly and independently; if you possess skills and competence to deal with science, charts, graphs and symbols; if you are logical and have an analutical approach towards work; and you have patience and preservence, you can certainly go ahead to make your career with BCA.

As you asked college for admission in BCA but you did not mention specific area of this country in which you want to take admission in BCA.
