Which combination gives better career with MBA(Finance)?

I'm in 10+2 Commerce. This year I'll join college..so it's a very important question for me. I don't want any diplomatic answer. Please tell me straightforward and key points! I want to know which of the following combinations will be better to sum up with MBA(Finance) and give a good future prospect : 1. B.Com with CA 2. B.Com with CS,or 3.BBA with CS

Being blunt as you asked for no diplomatic answers - More than combination - college would be more important factor. If you manage to get into Top league MBA college - It won't matter what combination you have in your graduation.

Purely looking at combination ( Keeping college factor out) B.Com with CA would be preferred.

Hi There,

I completely agree with Surabhi madam.
If MBA is done from a well know reputed Institute, Graduation does not matter.

But my question to you, Roshni roy, is that, why are you mixing 2 careers.
Though both MBA and CA are finance stream and are the top level of functioning in an industry.
So here you have to be clear in your goals.

If MBA ( Finance) is what you are looking out for in future.
Then the basic requirement apart from Graduation is a strong capacity in terms of accounts and Financial knowledge.
As such a general B.Com would take care of this.

But in case you are interested in taxation and accounting, then CS would take care of it
In-case you are interested in accounting, budgeting and taxation, as well as financial advisory role as well as financial management then CA will be helpful.

All the 3 roles are of a different stature.

As an MBA Finance, you would do the financial planning, and advisory role, which we now know as the Investment banker, but ultimately when time comes for IT returns, a CA will enter the scenario.

Every industry has openings for both the positions, but as a CA after few years of work experience and making a name for yourself, you can work as a freelancer too.

Since you are in 12th, it is high time, you take your decision.

Post 12th, you can meet professional in either fields can get a clear picture as to their job roles.
But since CA Entrance is given in the 12th, I think best would be to appear for the exam and then decide whether you wish to continue.

But as I see, the boards have already begun, at ths juncture it would be advisable to concentrate on the boards, since if you mess with 12th, no other option would be open for you.
As far as CA is concerned, a 12th pass student is eligible to appear for the intermediate exam.

But before you decide on a course, first be sure, which role you see yourself working in, in the industry in few years of time.

Dont jump, research and then make a decision.

Wish you all the very best.........
