Which companies are to be attended for freshers in vlsi frontend design/verification?

Since getting jobs in vlsi domain is not an easy task, no matter of the salary or even if its an intern post, i wanted to know about companies hiring freshers in vlsi domain. as big companies of vlsi domain hire freshers from only IITs,NITs,etc.

Hello Amit, you are so right - big companies do hire from IIT's and BITS-Pilani. There are few jobs available around in VLSI - Chip design works are decreasing and more of the jobs are moving towards software.

 
Seems like Moore's Law is no more applicable looking at dearth of innovation at chip level.
 
However, good start could be seek referral from your friends working in companies like
 
Freesscale Semiconductor
ST - Microelectronics
Qualcom
EDA- companies like Synapse, Mentor Graphics.
 

Referral can work big time for you. There are mid-sized companies too in startup phase - they should be best bet for you.

 
Example of such startups could be: www.logic-fruit.com
 
You will need to do a search on Job portal for these start ups and you will have names. Reach out to them, be prepared with your resume and polished interview skills and you should make it.
