Hello My Dear Career Aspirant,

Your query is one of the most common queries we career counsellors get over time.

Choosing a graduation stream is not that simple however can be made simple.I am glad that you approached CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance to your career concern. I am sure that the experts here will be able to guide you appropriately.

Choosing graduation:

In your career query to us, you have not mentioned about your current details of education that is in which stream you are in for your junior college .... are you in commerce or arts or science. I think you may be also at your SSC level (10th) and now wish to choose which stream among the above.
I can see that you have selected management and marketing and business analyst categories for your career query.

Based on the above information, I will answer this question of yours.

Choosing a career stream can be done in two ways. One through a natural and self introspecting way and the other by a systematic analysis and assessment way.

Through the first way, what you need to do is really lok into your own self and try to hear your inner voice / gut feeling. Based on your SSc level marks you can surely point to some subjects which you like the most and love to study them in future too. Also you can think of your own capabilities whether you like science, maths subjects more or you like subjects economics, civics, history, geography more.

Since you have selected management, marketing , business analyst, COMMERCE field for your graduation is the most ideal stream.

Studying commerce will be exact and the most near to the marketing, management field. For business analyst, you will need to learn a business analysis / finance analysis course, which can be done after your commerce graduation.

If you want to know the systematic way of choosing the stream of graduation, you can also take the Idea Career Assessment or Stream Suggestor Psychometric Test from CareerGuide.com. This psychometric test will tell you exactly which career option is most suited to you. This test analyses your potential strenghts, likings, interests, passion, perseverance, aptitude, attitude, personality, etc.

All the Best!

To come back to us in case you wish to tell us something more about your self or your career query!

Hi Aashi,

First of all, I would like to know your subject in your graduation, then it would be helpful to understand which course is suitable for your career.

But, Don't worry I would suggest a little bit courses in all three streams, Whether It would be art, commerce, or Science.

Courses After Graduation:

  • Master of Arts (MA): MA is one of the most preferred postgraduate degrees that students opt for amongst courses after BA. Master of Arts is a two-year program offered in a varied range of fields such as English, Hindi, Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Regional and Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, Media, History, Philosophy, etc.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): Most people think that an MBA can’t be pursued with a BA degree. MBA is a program that can be studied after completing graduation in any stream whether it is Arts, Commerce or Science. Being one of the most sought-after career choices, the rising popularity of this programme is owed to the lucrative and amazing career opportunities that it provides.

  • Bachelor of Education: A golden opportunity for those who want to kickstart their career as a teacher, Bachelor of Education [BEd] is also one of the courses after BA which you can explore.
