Hello There. Would like to mention at the outset itself that I am very happy to see you join your family business and also seek to further your education which will be very helpful in your family business. Law studies are such studies that in today's changing business dynamics, political scenario and complex economic conditions, they are very essential irrespective of the field a person working in. Today I observe that MBAs, Doctors and Engineers are doing law courses while doing their jobs or immediately after completing graduation and or post graduation. What I would suggest you is that if possible why don't you do a full time LLB course instead of doing a distance learning course. LLB is the best course which you should do and which will be extremely important and helpful for running your family business. Please also understand that distance learning courses in law are very specific and not as a whole body of knowledge. LLB is not offered through distance learning anywhere and if offered by any Institute is not valid and approved by Bar Council of India. There are small diploma courses which a graduate can do through distance learning, but they have knowledge and information limitations and should be done only to enhance or add knowledge after completing a basic course in Law and that is LLB. I am sure that while working for your family business, you can do LLB course for which the classes are conducted in early morning and so you have the entire day to work for business. Also in some Institutes, there is relaxation for attendance in college for lectures too. LLB is the best course available in India for building a strong foundation in law. Since you are also very young by age, you will easily complete the LLB course in 3 years and your degree will be very much recognised and valid all over India and approved by Bar Council of India. After LLB if you feel that you want additional knowledge in a particular field of law like IPR, Cyber Law, etc, then you can approach National Law Universities in India and Indian Law Institute, Delhi which give distance learning short term courses in specific Laws. Best Luck.

Hi Friend,Well first of all the question you have asked is not so clear to me but still I will try mu best to answer your question according to my understanding.

Since you have joined your family business, I guess your business will be really doing good and must be big. Considering this I think you should do a course related to a business laws.

I think the best distance learning program for you in todays date is MBL (Masters in Business Laws).

National Law School of Indian University, Banglore - runs this unique course. This is a Post Graduate Degree for 2 years.

Please read all the below information very carefully. I am going to mention each and every subject year wise.

  • FIRST YEAR
  1. CONTRACT LAW
  2. BANKING LAW
  3. CORPORATE LAW
  4. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS LAW
  5. ENVIRONMENTAL LAW

  • SECOND YEAR
  1. INVESTMENT LAWS
  2. INSURANCE LAWS
  3. LAW RELATING TO FOREIGN TRADE
  4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW
  5. TAXATION OF CORPORATIONS

candidates are expected to write 100 marks in class exam for each paper. Annual examination is held in June and the supplementing examination in January/February. Grading system is followed for evaluation of performance. Minimum B Grade (50%) is required to pass paper. A minimum cumulatiove grade point average (CGPA) of 3.00 is necessary to complete the course.

for further details regarding the course you may contact on the abelow mentioned phone numbers.

Apart from above mentioned course there are many colleges and universities who runs part time LLB classes on evening base or on distance learning mode...you can do this LLB. If you do not want to practice in a Court then you do not need to complete three years LLB you can just complete your second year and get LLB degree. By this you will have LLB degree but you will not be able to enroll yourself to any of the bar council as an advocate. Since you are already doing a business I do not think so you will ever need to practice law in a court so for you I think the best course is MBL.

By doing MBL you will not have rare degree in your handbut also you will be so much well worsed with the laws of the countries which are related to the business or the corporations or to the small scalled industries. If you have such knowlede of various laws you can help your family business to grow and expand it further in different directions in which you have not rtied yet.

Best luck for you future.
