Selecting a stream is a vital decision as your career path depends on the options that can be pursued through the stream. You may also choose diploma course after course after tenth.
The best way to select stream is to go for psychometric and aptitude test. Careerguide offers these tests on the portal. Another way is write down your interests as well as dislikes on a page eg a student has interests in sports and biology but not interested in pursuing MBBS then he may think about options like sports nutrition . Also think where you would like to see yourself in next few years. Think about factors like whether you would like a profile that includes team work and communicating with people etc or a desk job; would you like to travel for the job etc. These factors will give you the perfect answer. Stream selection is crucial factor for having a successful career ahead. Your stream selection should primarily depend on your favourite subjects in 10th. Was is science, was it social sciences, was it any other subject?
Choosing a stream based on your interests is recommended and not based on crowd following. If you are not good at maths, do not go for Science, etc.
