DTP means Desk Top Publication. DTP is made for various printing purpose. The DTP Course includes the knowledge of Corel Draw, Photoshop, Page maker, Flash etc type of major software. Also the knowledge of Shree Lipi software can make added benefit to DTP work.

The student or job seeker who want to work in Newspaper, Printing press, advertisement company can do the DTP work. The knowledge of above software along with the zeal for making the better design can make good DTP operator. You should think in different way to make any content more attractive by choosing the different color, design and shades so that you will be more appealing to target customer. There is great demand for DTP operators who have very good software knowledge and who do regular updation of the same. The qualification to do the DTP course is only 10th class (SSC), but there should be lot of interest to use these software. If you know the type writing may be in English or Hindi there are better job opportunities for such people because the availability of people with good typing speed of may be 30 words per minute or 40 words per minute is less in today's market.

The students can do the internship in any Printing press while doing the course or after the course. You should start with the making small designs, marriage invitation cards, visiting cards etc type of the design. one can make portfolio out of the work done during the training.

The DTP course is of 2-3 months period. the women who are at home, can do this business very well. Also students who are currently studying some course can work as DTP operator for some time during available time. The total investment for starting any DTP unit is Just in the range of 50,000/-. The major requirement are Computer (PC) with lazer printer and scanner along with the software required.

the one who want to do the job in newspaper, the duties are on shift basis, starts at 4.30 pm and ends at 1 pm. Many newspaper companies are always in search of DTP operators.

In short, one who is having the zeal for making design attractive and knowledge of DTP softwares can achieve a lot.
