Looks like from your query you are interested in Banking jobs.

Hope you know that Banking operations deals with the banks daily transaction like dealing with loans, mortgages, investments and so on...
Private Questions

As such they deal with technologies. that make life easy. So definitely, knowledge, basic knowledge of computers for daily use makes life simpler.

Now the course you talking about is Masters in Computer Application (MCA), which mainly deals with programming, software development, applications and technology.
Please be clear that whether you wish to work in the banking zone, dealing with daily bank transaction or you want to get into the IT or system part of the bank, eg. Inventing software that makes banks work easier.
If technology is something you looking out for then MCA is a better choice.

And if just working in daily bank transactions is what you are looking out for then B.Com of fine. But please note you would join in as a trainee, but prior to that you would have to clear the bank entrance exam, for which forms are due in a month or so.
Please get in touch with a nearby bank or check RBI site.

Post that for betterr prospects its good to get yourself certified with other bank related courses which are short term courses ranging from 2 months to 6 months offered by The banking institute.

Decide based on your interests and capabilities.

All the very best.....

Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for approaching us at!

Just on the basis of BCom I don't think you will get a job in a bank. you may get clerical jobs by appearing for IBPS exam.

I think you should not waste your MCA qualification. MCA is required in corporate rather than banks. Banks outsource the IT work to IT companies.

To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo an online psychometric test from which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which stream is good for you.
You can then call counsellors to discuss.

Best wishes,

Dr. Anand Wadadekar
