dietetics is formally studied at the post graduate level although it may be a part of the bachelor of home science curriculum in food science and nutrition specialization.

master's in home science, food science, nutrition and dietetics is offered in the home science department of various universities,including the women's universities.

They also counsel and educate them about healthy eating and preparation of food items according to the principle of nutrition.Dietician Eligibility / Qualifications:To be eligible for joining Three years BSc Nutrition course or four years Food Technology course, one should be 10+2 class pass with physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) as main subjects and for some institute and universities the minimum requirement is 60% marks. The other course such as B.Sc Home Science and then M.Sc in Food and nutrition course will be perfect of dietician and Nutritionist job. There are many universities and institutes offering diploma courses in dietician and nutrition.Dieticians required skills:The dietician should be able to give full attention to what other people are saying. Taking time to understand and points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate time.They should be able to teach others how to do something , able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and talking to others to convey information effectively.They should be good at communication or interpersonal skills effectively with the clients or patients also in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience; understanding the implications new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.After getting proper educational qualifications the dietician may open their independent clinic or may join some hospital. Here you have to give advice to the patients or clients regarding their health and prepare data.
