Hi,

To become a Geographer basic eligibility is that you must pass the higher secondary school (10+2) to do your graduation and then post graduation. After doing post graduation you can teach as a professor in a college but if you do Ph.D and take your doctorate degree then you can work as a researcher in the University or in a research institute.

Geography is the study of different factors such as land utilization, population, climate, soil, vegetation and industries across the world. People specialized in the field of geography are known as Geographers.

A geographer's work is to understand the past history of our planet in order to visualize the processes of the past and future. Now a days more and more students are getting interested in exploring this subject, so suddenly scope of Geographers has increased to a great extent in India as well as abroad. Learned authors have written books from the foreign faculty and a lot of research work is also going on to explain the various facts of the universe.

I hope the above information will help you take a decision in future and build your career. If there is any thing else you want to know please ask me again , i am there to help you.

ALL THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
