Below are the educational qualifications required if you want to become a Business Analyst:

  • If you are looking to work in an IT company for the position of Business Analyst, you will be required to have a degree in engineering preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology. You can also have a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering as few companies allow that also. But nothing apart from these branches.
  • If you are keen to get in to Management Consulting, you need to have at least MBA in most cases
. Some companies do hire from premier engineering colleges as well.
  • If you want to work in finance or banking sector, you need to have MBA in finance. But again, some companies do hire from premier engineering colleges as well.
  • If you have a degree in maths or statistics you can also be considered for this position across all the industries.
